# Dragon Link pokies: Hold and Spin, themes and jackpots URL: https://onlinepokiess.org/pokies/dragon-link Author: Alexander. Updated: 2026-10-29 Facts last checked: 2026-10-13 **Key facts:** - Dragon Link is a series of Aristocrat venue pokies with Asian themes, built on the Hold and Spin feature first used in Lightning Link. - 6 or more bonus symbols start Hold and Spin: they lock in place and you get 3 respins, reset by every new bonus symbol. - Like Lightning Link, Dragon Link offers four jackpot levels, with the top prize for filling every position. - Each Dragon Link theme has its own free games round alongside Hold and Spin. - The original game is rarely found at the online casinos that accept Australians; hold and spin pokies from other studios work in a similar way. ## What is Dragon Link? Dragon Link is a series of venue pokies made by Aristocrat, the games maker founded in Sydney. It takes the Hold and Spin feature that made [Lightning Link pokies](https://onlinepokiess.org/pokies/lightning-link) famous and pairs it with Asian themes, each with its own free games round. In Australian clubs and pubs, Dragon Link is one of the most recognised pokie families, and it is among the pokies Australians search for most by name. ## How does Hold and Spin work on Dragon Link? Hold and Spin on Dragon Link follows the same pattern as Lightning Link: - **6 or more bonus symbols** land in one spin and start the feature. - **The bonus symbols lock** in place, each showing a value or a jackpot. - **You get 3 respins**, and every new bonus symbol locks and resets the count to 3. - **The feature ends** when the respins run out or every position is filled. - **You win** the total of the values and jackpots on screen; filling every position wins the top jackpot. ## What are the Dragon Link themes? Dragon Link is a family of themed games rather than one pokie. Themes include Autumn Moon, Golden Century, Happy and Prosperous, Panda Magic and Peacock Princess. Each has its own symbols and free games round, while Hold and Spin and the jackpot structure are shared across the series. In venues, the machine's information screen shows how the jackpots work on that machine, including which are progressive and which are fixed. ## Can you play Dragon Link online? Aristocrat offers its games online mainly through social casino apps, run by its studio Product Madness, where you play with virtual coins that cannot be cashed out. In some regulated markets overseas, Aristocrat Interactive supplies real money versions to licensed online casinos. At the casino sites that accept Australian players, the original venue game is rarely available. If a site offers "Dragon Link pokies online", check the provider name in the lobby: in most cases it is a hold and spin pokie from another studio. Those games often have demo versions; our [free online pokies](https://onlinepokiess.org/free-pokies) guide explains how to try them. ## How does Dragon Link compare with Lightning Link? | | Dragon Link | Lightning Link | | Maker | Aristocrat | Aristocrat | | Core feature | Hold and Spin | Hold and Spin | | Jackpots | Four levels | Four levels: Mini, Minor, Major, Grand | | Themes | Asian themes | Mixed themes, from Las Vegas to ocean and desert | | Free games | Each theme has its own | Each theme has its own | Both are explained in our guide to [jackpot pokies](https://onlinepokiess.org/pokies/progressive-jackpots), and Aristocrat's wider range is on our [Aristocrat online pokies](https://onlinepokiess.org/providers/aristocrat) page. ## How do you keep Dragon Link play under control?
